A HISTORIC Furness pub is up for sale at a price of almost £400,000.
The Abbey Tavern, a Grade II listed building adjacent to Furness Abbey, has been placed on the market with the Manchester office of licensed property agents, Christie and Co.
The property dates back to around 1900 and has been closed for a number of years.
It is now on sale for £379,000.
Andrew Dodd, who is handling the sale from Christie and Co’s Manchester Office, said: “This historic building offers a business development opportunity to anyone wishing to re-establish a traditional restaurant and country inn.
“The site provides a wealth of potential to prospective purchasers looking to invest in a property steeped in history.”
